Except as indicated, LA does not discuss the following items, since it describes declarations but does not, for the most part, parse them. It has, accordingly, been listed for the most part as dna. NSGML applies only to document instances; for the most part, therefore, it has been listed here as dna. SGML Lite is designed to "enable a parser to extract all information contained in [the] document from the document instance alone, without reading the DTD or the document [type declaration] subset." It could be viewed as not restricting the form of markup declarations (sic) or as not applicable (dna); the latter is done here.
